Superintendent: Traveling

Applicants must possess a proven track record to deliver top quality construction management services on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive all pertinent project information from Project Manager
  • Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures
  • Set up field office, communications, temporary services and trash removal as required
  • Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule
  • Schedule all company employees, subcontractors and deliveries as needed so as to not adversely impact the project schedule
  • Schedule and attend all required inspections
  • Complete and submit all paperwork as required
  • Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work
  • Work with owner, owner’s rep, architect and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to Project Manager
  • Communicate, implement and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project
  • Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings as may be required for the successful and timely completion of current project
  • Attend walk through at job completion to ascertain punch list
  • Facilitate weekly safety meetings at job site
  • Execute punch list in a timely manner and obtain all necessary signed acknowledgments
  • Close out field office and project as necessary

Experience:

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
  • Experience both in union and non-union environments
  • Experience in computer technology
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, renovations, retail chains, flagship and restaurants
  • National/International Travel is required for this position

Estimator: Pleasant Prairie

This position will be responsible for reviewing proposal specifications, drawings and attending pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work in order to produce qualified bid submittals in a timely manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Create detailed and accurate cost estimates including scope definition, exceptions/exclusions, quantity, size, configuration, options, etc.
  • Assure that the estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete and reflect the actual requirements of the project.
  • Follow up with owner architect and provide additional information as required.
  • Maintaining current information and lists for subcontractors.
  • Solicit subcontractor and material bids.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs as necessary.
  • Prepare routine estimates including bid forms and breakdowns as required.
  • Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, etc.

Additional items:

  • Research new products/cost/installation details.
  • Earn the Confidence of the Owner try to quickly ascertain their requirements for a complete bid.
  • Find Subcontractors while maintaining and updating Subcontractor information as necessary.
  • Distribution of plans and specifications.
  • Addendum processing and notifications.
  • Maintain record of transactions.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other documents.
  • Work with others as a team player.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, evaluate situations and make timely, accurate decisions.
  • Organized with strong technical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to interface with subcontractors, suppliers and designers while developing a bid as needed.
  • Full understanding of all divisions.
  • Knowledge of estimating multiple building/project types.
  • Maintains a competitive advantage by staying current with industry standards.
  • Bachelors Degree in construction or business related field.
  • 2+ years experience as an Estimator or similar position.
  • Experience in hiring and managing outside contractors.
  • Computer proficiency in the Windows environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Project Manager – Construction

Lakeview Construction is a growing general contractor specializing in retail construction tenant improvement projects nationwide. Established in 1993 we have many high profile retail stores with relationships for over 20 years.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Manage all areas of construction projects from bidding through closeout.
  • Manage all sub-contractors, field superintendents and project coordinators.
  • Negotiate contracts with sub-contractors.
  • Maintain construction budgets and construction schedules to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients, new clients and owner vendors.
  • Meet with clients on-site (will require travel).
  • Review estimates with estimating team prior to bid submittals.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years as a Project Manager. Preferably experience in tenant improvement, retail projects.
  • Bachelor’s in Construction Management, Business or similar field.
  • Very strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a very fast paced environment a must.
  • Must be a self-starter and extremely motivated.
  • Ability to travel as needed (this will vary by client).

Estimating Coordinator: Pleasant Prairie

Lakeview Construction, LLC is accepting applications to fill the position of Estimating- Coordinating Assistant. Position is for a organized and is very detail oriented. You need to be able to handle the very fast paced environment of bid invitations from 30 or more retail clients every given month. Job will require you to prioritize a high amount of email every day.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Receive and prioritize multiple invitations to bid per day.
  • Download plans & set up new projects as client invitations come in. Again, prioritizing by importance.
  • Research mall required information & contact mall subcontractors for required bids.
  • Organize/ print & file sub contractor bids into appropriate dept as they come in throughout the day.
  • Download/ update current projects bidding as needed with the revised plans and bids.
  • Assist all Estimators as needed to keep them on time.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks at any given moment and be able to prioritize these tasks according to importance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
  • General understanding of utilizing the internet for research, downloading documents from FTP sites and obtaining information for various malls and subcontractors.
  • Understanding of general construction and construction terms a plus but not a requirement.

Education:

  • High school Diploma required
  • Experience in similar position within the construction field a plus
